Voyce is all about making things simple and easy by focusing on doing the basics well and removing all the fluff. We explore three small usability improvements we made in November 2023 that help to make Voyce easier to use as a feedback-gathering and problem-solving tool.

Easier sharing with teammates

Design thinking encourages an empathetic approach to problem-solving by keeping the needs of your users and customers close to heart. By emphasizing teamwork, design-thinking helps us to build solutions that reflect the varied perspectives and experiences of the people that are contributing to the process.

To help with this you can now add teammates to a workspace from an individual insight, problem, or idea/solution card. Simply open a card from your list, look for the 'Share' button on the right, and then click 'Invite new team members' to uh... invite your new team members.

Using the invite new team members button on the Share modal.

When inviting someone like this they're still getting access to the entire workspace (Voyce Feedback, insights, problems, and ideas/solutions) but there are a couple of ways you can help them find a specific card.

Either collect a link to that card from the 'Share this insight' field in the little sharing popup and email it through to them, or comment on a card and they'll get an email that they can click through from. Here's what the 'Share this insight' field looks like:

'Magic' question added to Voyce Feedback list

Because you're not always interacting directly with the Voyce Feedback flow that your users & customers are seeing, it can be difficult to remember the intent of the 'magic question' they're answering when they provide feedback.

To counter this we now show this question above the list of feedback in the Voyce Feedback folder. It's only a small change, but it's useful to be reminded of what the user was thinking when they wrote what they did. Remember too, that even with 👍 good feedback we ask the user for 'one thing you could be doing do to change or improve'; don't be disheartened to see a wall of 'negative' responses - these are just people doing their best to help you be even better!

We've got more coming to help you interpret feedback from users as it's quite a spicy topic, so stay posted.

Making Voyce Feedback more visible

My mother used to tell me that good things come in small packages, and this small change fits that bill.

This tweak takes the number of Voyce Feedback responses you've received and shows it for each workspace in your main list of workspaces. There's not too much so say about this to be honest...it's just a handy reminder that a workspace is actually collecting feedback, and it provides a convenient way of getting directly to your Voyce Feedback list so you can see what people are saying.
